Hard fought game by both teams, everytime Ashland had a lead Russell just battled back to tie the game up. Rigsby and Bias pitched for Ashland, and Dehoff and I think Hamilton pitched for Russell.

Great win for the Tomcats. Also beat Boyd last week. 13-8 not too bad considering the youth on this team. They will be a tough out come Districts and Regionals.

Not taking anything away from the Tomcats, but I keep hearing the youth of this team being brought up. They start a senior at 3B, a Senior at SS, a senior at 2B and at least one senior in the OF. 50% of the position players being seniors does not classify this as a young team to me.

Exactly. 2 or 3 young starters doesnt make the whole team Young.

 

No disrespect to Ashland, because they have had a good year. But I predict they barely beat Fairview, if that.

Ashland young? Not really. Russell started two freshman.
