O and by the way HT I didn't realize you went to NKU til just the other day.

Sure did I will be back there soon.

I do have an interesting story about writing a poem for a Shoney's hostess. If you want to hear that story, I can share it with the BGP community. lol

Sure why not.

You take some time off?

For whoever was talking about it earlier I'm also a Criminal Justice major at UofL.

I'm one at NKU, if that counts, minor in PSC.

You take some time off?

Yep. A little to much time. I will most likely go to gateway or something and do gen Ed's because it is cheaper and I can get my work to pay the FULL tuition.

Here is the story, it is rather long, so I apologize in advance.

So me and a friend go into a Shoney's at around 9pm or so, this was a couple years ago. The hostess shows us to our table, I look at my friend and say that the hostess seems sad and maybe I should write her something to cheer her up. My friend knows that I'm not all there and tells me to leave her alone and just order my food.

So I eventually just start writing something out and after I'm finished, I show it to my friend. She thinks it's VERY nice, but that I don't have the guts to give it to her. A few minutes later, the lady comes back out and my friend starts urging me to go over to her. So I eventually walk over to her and say something to the effect of: "I know this is going to come across as very strange, I'm not hitting on you. But when I walked in a few minutes ago, you seemed kinda sad and I wanted to write you something to cheer you up."

As you can imagine she looked like a deer in headlights as I pass her the note. The piece of paper is folded, so I'm sure she thought the worst as she took it. She takes the note, I go and sit back down. We order our food and basically just forget about it. A few minutes later, the hostess comes back out with tears in her eyes asking how did I know that something was wrong. She simply said thank you a few times and I never spoke to her again.

As for what I wrote, I can't tell you exactly, but I can give you a a decent idea, it went something like this. WARNING, SAPPY POEM MATERIAL FOLLOWS! lol

you truly are an amazing and beautiful person

don't let anyone tell or make you feel any different

please know that all the tears you have shed

all the hardships you have gone through

they will be replaced with happiness

everything will be okay

everything will work out

stay strong and believe in yourself

I still haven't decided on a minor yet...

Yea I hear that man, I feel like it's taking forever, dropped out my Freshmen first semester, joined the Army, tore my ACL playing ball a couple months before I was to leave. Then went back, then took another year off, then have had to only take 9 hours a few times. I'm just praying I can have my Bachelors by the time I'm 25 lol.

I figure it's better than never having it at all.

Thats exactly what I did. Now I am 21(almost) and basicly starting from scratch.

Yea mine was pretty much cake once I realized I liked to argue, and actually went into the P&R forums often. Plus it could help after law enforcement.

Aww Thats sweet HC.

That's happened to me a number of times in my life, make people cry with I write. Granted I find out later it's because they have never read anything that BAD before, but at least in the moment, I think I'm good. lol

I hear that man, I can't wait to get it over with. It's funny I loved high school and never wanted it to end, yet never tried like I should've. Now that I'm in college I enjoy it, but want to get it over with and have actually develop what most would consider to be a descent work ethic lol.
