About a week ago he was named LHL Coach of the Year. Others who received over 10 votes were: 1. Hicks, Scott Co 2. Wright, Central Hardin 3. Renner, Ballard 3. Ligon, Bryan Station 5. Riley, Warren Central
Log Mountain Boy Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I think Coach Hicks should be the clear #1 in any case this season. After that it gets pretty foggy. There are probably 15 coaches this year who deserve credit for doing great jobs.
U Reach I Teach Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Billy Hicks - State Champions -- No Questions asked!
rojas4 Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 The most under appreciated coach in the state may be Champ Ligon at Bryan Station. I watched all the good teams play this year, most several times. Bryan Station may have had the 3rd best team in the state. The defenders lost 6 games in the state of Ky, 3 of those were to Scott Co and 1 was to Ballard. When Ligon came to BS they were absolutlyhorrible. He built this team from the ground up.
fieldhousekrayzie21 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Great coach, but I have no respect for him at all.
bellalumni40 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Great coach, but I have no respect for him at all. If its b/c you think he recruits, you've lost it. If its b/c of the way he rides the refs, I can follow you a little bit.
rojas4 Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 Great coach, but I have no respect for him at all. And if its because his teams usually beat Mason County, that's just the way it is.
