kinglion Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Complete blowout game. The Lions hit the ball very well tonight, even though neither team really pitched any of their top pitchers. Ashland looks to be a very young team and are no match for Boyd. Great job tonight Lions!!!!!!
MBWC41 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Either Boyd found their bats tonight or Ashland is just not a strong team this year.
CountyPride Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 This was the second time I had seen Ashland play and I am not sure of just how young they are, but they definetly struggle. Routine plays and catches were not made and they just look very unprepared. Boyd did hit the ball well tonight, but seen a LOT of errors on Ashland. Ashland will improve and get better as the season goes on, they always do. They will definetly have to improve on the corners and behind the plate to compete in the Districts, but they did look young. I did hear someone say that the Catcher and another Infield player was young. Someone that knows something about Ashland, then post a little about the youth on the team? Good game Lions
tcat25 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 In the infield Ashland has Fields Davis a senior at 3rd, Kris Bias a senior at SS, Robby Wilcox a senior at 2nd, Nick Jackson a sophmore at 1st, Cris Duvall a sophmore at catcher. The outfield is James Barber a senior in RF, Josh Miller a sophmore in CF, and Caleb Rigsby a junior in LF.

Hate to say it then, but I hope you have a good JV then, because with that many seniors then you ought to be stopping balls a little bit better.
