Good movie on Comedy Central right now.

 

Fast Times at Ridgemont High is pretty good. However, I decided to throw Jay and Silent Bob strikes back into the 360 and watch it! Its sad how much I like that movie. I can practically quote the whole thing.

I saw them live when they opened for Killswitch engage a couple years ago. REALLY liked them and bought the new album at the time, The Fiction We Live. I guess I expected it to be harder, but it wasn't too bad.

 

Heard bits and pieces off the next album Abandon your friends, haven't heard the new cd yet.

The new CD is on par with Too Bad You're Beautiful as far as how hard it is... You can actually listen to the entire CD on their myspace. It's well worth the money.

I would like to go watch Killswitch in concert. I think it would be pretty cool. Usually the closest places to go see a concert for a metal band is either Cleveland or Nashville.

FATA is going to be in Louisville on May 3rd... Sadly I didn't hear about it until it was too late and I won't be able to get the day off to go. :cry:

TSR anyone know what that means in the sports betting world?

I would like to go watch Killswitch in concert. I think it would be pretty cool. Usually the closest places to go see a concert for a metal band is either Cleveland or Nashville.

 

Killswitch, Hatebreed, Converge, those bands are just road warriors and seem to CONSTANTLY be on the road. But it's well worth it to see them live. Not to mention in a tiny, tiny venue. Can't beat it.

I'm not really big on metal, honestly... I'm more of an alternative rock kind of guy. It depends, though, on what we're considering to be metal... FATA for example I don't think of as metal... But a lot of people do... It's a pretty broad brush.. But if you can narrow it down a bit, I can give you a little better answer.

I really wanted to catch Killswitch w/ Stone Sour at the HOB in Myrtle but it was going on the week after I was there.

Yeah, I don't like the phrase "emo" AT ALL, but the more I listened to FATA they fit that bill. Not that it makes them a bad band or anything, but you are right, they aren't metal.

Its hard to narrow it down becuase their is such a fine difference between the alternative scene and the metal scene. I consider metal to be bands like Killswitch, As I Lay Dying, Shadows Fall, In Flames, Nile and so forth.
