Univeristy of Cumberland. I think he made it offical yesterday and I didnt see a thread on it soo I thought I would let everyone know. Congrats Matt D!:thumb:

Matt Daniel is a great kid that is very well respected in the community of Morehead. He will be a great asset to Cumberland. You will see as he grows and gets stronger that some other colleges will miss the boat on this kid. He will get stronger and will get even better. 6'4" and point guard who can shoot and handle the basketball. You don't see many kids like that anymore......

I read about this in the paper yesterday. Cumberland is getting a great student-athlete and I look for him to do really well there.

Great sign for Cumberland, I thought he would end up at this level even though I thought skill wise he could play in the OVC. He was just lacking the bulk & strength IMO as he has the frame for it. His situation reminded me of Silverhorn from Shelby Co who was a very productive player for 4 years at Georgetown. Both could have easily played in the OVC after a year of development. G'town got a steal there just as Cumberland has in Daniel. In 3yrs the OVC will say we missed one here. Congrats to Matt Daniel

I heard his father hoped to follow Matt to whatever school he ended up signing with.........Any truth to this?

Congrats to Matt D. One less player that I have to worry about scoring 30 on us. Seriously congrats to a great kid and player.
