I feel very hollow....

Sounds as if Warren Central could've and maybe should've won this game.

Ballard was 8-20 on threes ... when Ballard shoots that well from outside, they're tough to beat.

The game could have gone either way ... the Dragons missed on a couple of good looks down the stretch that could have turned it their way.

I would've loved to see Central pull this one out.. but it wasnt meant to be. I just want to say congrats to Ballard to making it to the State Championship. I'd also like to Congratulate and thank Warren Central for giving the 4th region a legitimate contender in the state tournament year in and year out. I wish the seniors the best of luck in the future. I can only hope that this isnt the end of an era for Warren Central with them losing a ton of good players, but I can feel confident with Tim Riley as a coach, that he'll keep Dub-C at the top of the pack next year also, and hopefully bring them back to at least Saturday Morning next year.

Congrats Ballard...bring the title back to the 7th region back 2 back.

I pick out one player from each team that is my favorite...Jemery Anderson from WC is a great player to watch, and was my favorite. Wish I could have watched him in the finals.

Someone said he would play DI at Air Force next season, is that true??

^ Air Force is among the schools recruiting him, and they are the biggest name of those. I think that's where he'll end up.

Well, I've had 6 hours to dwell on the game. Great game, and I am very proud of the game WC played. The predictions of Ballard by 15-20 really upset me, and I was glad that the Dragons proved them all wrong. This is a game that Central could easily have won, but credit the Bruin pressure that forced turnover after turnover, and that helped Ballard overcome a poor shooting performance.

The frustrating thing about the game is how many chances Central had to win. They had three posessions when they were down two late in the game, two of which under a minute. One was a missed three pointer by Hood, the other a walk by Hood. But the moment that resonated most for me was when the score was 55-53. Anderson drove the lane for a wide open runner that went off the back iron. It was a shot that he rarely misses, and that was when I knew Ballard was going to win. It was just a sign.

Good luck to Ballard in the championship game. I'll be pulling for you!
