4. I would have one if not two (one for offensive and one for defense) Scout Team Coordinators. With this many kids in the program the Scout Team is going to be where many of the 110 players will make their greatest contribution to the program. Those kids need to know how important they are (because they are important) and having a Scout Team Coordinator(s) does just that.

How many schools have something like this? In most programs I knwo the OC runs scout team O and DC runs scout team D. Now in a true 2 platoon school a position coach runs it since first team O and D are going at the same time. A common POV is that your number 1 offense should always go against your number 1 defense.

I only watched Ryle a few times (one was at state) and I am not totaly convinced their offensive problem was their sets. I do think part of the issue was some of the things they ran from the set. Power football works just fine but by nature you almost have to be able to run some form of option to prevent the packing in you get.

Speed is always something good to work on for any program. I think some programs get too caught up in this power lifting instead of things that translate to the football field directly.

If Ryle wants to continue to make progress then they need to play against the best they can get on Freshman, JV, and Varsity level. We use to play T and X twice as freshman and so you either stepped up or went home. ITs not about the record as much as it is about preparing for the playoffs.

Get middle school football and play by KHSAA rules. The Kenton County league does not play by KHSAA rules. Out in the state most good middle school program play by high school rules. It would help all programs in this area if the schools had middle school programs and played each other. I do know some kids will not play middle school football in kenton county schools to keep their options open to play high school under the new transfer rules.

One thing about the BCPWFL, they are aloowing kids to come in from other areas of Northern kentucky and play in this league and it is adding to the number of kids overall on teams and making it harder for the coaches to get as many kids into the games and practices.

Is this thread for Ryle football or BCPWFL?
