I think South's experience coupled with their talent will sepearte the teams in this game. Cumberland is a good team, and should be one of the favorites next season, but South knows how to win the big ones.

Actually Cumberland is an EXCELLENT team and WILL be one of the favorites next year and arent you the same person that was AFRAID to pick Cumberland over Clay County

Sorry old school, but an EXCELLENT team doesn't lose 10 games and post a 15-8 region record with losses to a struggling North Laurel team and 18-point loss to Corbin, an 11-point loss Middlesboro and only a 6-3 home record and post a 4-7 record down the stretch.

The Redskins are a good team, BUT AN EXCELLENT TEAM?

There aren't many excellent teams in the entire state ... maybe Scott Co. and Ballard.

South Laurel 75-56.

Steve Wright and company is an outstanding group of coaches and that is why someone from their staff including Wright 2 or 3 times has been to scout Cumberland on about 7 occasions if my math is up to par. I think this staff probably has more respect for the Cumberland program than anybody else in the Region and that is why they are who they are. Hats off to South laurel and Cumberland they both deserve a lot of respect and good luck to to the winner throughout the tournament. I think we see now who the top 4 teams in the region are.

I guess your definition of an excellent team and mine differ a little. This team had a 3 or 4 game stretch of mediocre play, but they weathered the storm and their 8-2 tournament (including the all a region and state and the district and regional tournament) record is the one that I think reveals more about them than anything else.

I think there are a lot of excellent teams in Kentucky, with Scott County being a truly great team. South is a great team in the 13th Region with Bell on the verge of greatness in the Region and Corbin and Cumberland are excellent teams in the Region IMO.

That's fine man, if you want to take it to a personal level and middle school level and take jabs at someone by calling them names ... that's cool with me ... I noticed you've just been on here since this month ... this isn't usually the way we go at it here on Bluegrasspreps just because someone disagrees with you.

Disagreeing is one thing and being disrespectful is entirely different. From my point of view, i think you tend to poke at comments that Old School Doctor makes that you don't agree with. That is being disrespectful and of course he's going to defend himself. Old School Doctor is a fellow supporter of the Cumberland program and is very proud of their accomplishments when you look at where they were the last couple of years. All teams involved have worked hard to get where they are. Let's root for our respective teams and join together and root for our 13th region representative at the "Sweet 16" whoever it may be.

It's obvious you didn't see the statement he put on here before Strike 3 edited his comments ... you don't defend yourself by calling people names and being childish about it ... these forums are on here for us to agree or disagree ... plain and simple ... there are things that I agree with him with .... and it's fine and dandy to defend what team you like ... I understand that ... BUT, sometimes you have to look at the reality of things as well ... We really need to get back to the topic of this thread or it will be closed ... enough about me and name calling ... I'm a big boy and can handle it when someone disagrees ... that's life ...
