1987 was the year and it was the district tournament. Don't forget about a point guard on that team that scored all 8 points Mason had in overtime to send Mason County on to the win:thumb:

 

 

Oh, that had actualy slipped my mind. I do remeber that point guard, but unfortunately I can't get that image of him sprawled out on the floor after the put back by that Doss player. Didn't Feldhause actaully tip that ball that fell short into the Doss players hand?

That one was a heart breaker for us....:cry:

1. 2005: Pendleton County winning the Region for the first time since 1971.

 

2. 2001: Watching Steve Sigmon and Co. lead Campbell County to the title. Camels won the 9th in '46 and '60. My grandfather was on the '46 team.

That shot broke my heart as Maysville closed their doors that year. Thought it would have been fitting for Maysville to end their storied history with a region title, but it was not meant to be.

Such a sad ending for such a school. It would've been nice if Maysville to end it like that, but it will never happen again.

 

Mine was Augusta going back to the region for the first time in 23/13 years.
