bluethunder
Sounds like HHS shot the lights out tonight. Any details? Think the Birds shot 55 percent from the field and went 18-18 from the foul line. Alex Adler, (jr) came off the bench for 16 pts and 12 rebs. Katie Allen led the team with 18 and played a great floor game. Rest of the starters had solid games and made the open shots when they took them. Highlands led by 20 at the half, NCC cut it to 16 in the 3rd and then Highlands pushed back to 22 and it stayed around 18-24 the rest of the way. Great game by the ladies. The young Birds are coming of age.

87Bird
As a former player for the "guy" Birds who sat through a few of Coach Shields' session in Coach Petty's room, sounds like Coach Richey has them sitting 2 wide off the rail coming to the head of the stretch. (I wonder if the Lady Birds will get 1 1st place vote in the coaches poll) Congrats Coach Richey and the rest of the Lady Birds on a great game and district championship. Why to go Alex.....I am so very proud of you, and have been since you were a young soccer player. Will never forget how sick you were in Bowling Green, Ky, or how you played Goalie, in a shoot out when the starting goalie wouldn't play.... Again Congrats Alex....
