February 25, 200719 yr That matters very little. Honestly neither belong in the tourney, but Bama has a better shot at finishing the year strong than does UK. That with the head to head matchup plus thier record vs. good teams will be the difference.

February 26, 200719 yr Bama 2-1 vs. ranked opp. UK 0-6 vs. ranked opp. Rankings mean nothing in the eyes of the committee. Look at the gory details here. Bama #43 in the RPI 2-4 v top 50 6-3 v top 100 That is 5 fewer wins than UK in overall category. Sure they beat UK, but that game was at home. 49 SOS 4-6 last 10 games. In addition, no losses to anyone outside the top 100, but they have 3 losses of 20+ points. 27 point loss at Arkansas and a 24 point loss to Auburn...both will not be in the tourney. Another win or two and they will make it. Final two games are Ole Miss and on the road at Mississippi State.

Bama still has a legit shot of winning the west.
