Your right we also was talking about how small the crowd was there,We had to out number them 2-1 in fans and it was an hour trip.The band i dont understand why they wasnt there they have won the state band championship 12 out of the last 17 years you would think they would want to show that off a little.

 

Fayette Co. has some very restrictive policies about band participation - from what I understand. I don't think they can come to games until the tournament starts...

 

The competition is great in the 11th - but the fans are weak in the city limits.

I don't think that is a rule. At Henry Clay, the band doesn't even play at the football games! Most the Fayette County high schools play rap music as part of the pre-game warmup in basketball. I hate it!

 

I guess I am too old fashioned in that the great high school environments for football and basketball were created greatly by good music played by the pep and marching bands. In Lexington, that is not the case.
