I have a feeling we’ll get a “ball don’t lie” scenario. If Central wins, this could get reallll ugly.

What I would want to know is “WHEN” did WC initiate the protest.

Meaning: was it during the PK shootout when WC realized that BG was going to use a kicker to kick that already kicked. If so, WC might have a leg to stand on. If the “protest” was made after the kicks occurred and both of the teams used kickers that had previously kicked, then I’d tell WC to go pound sand. Game is final.

This incident might get the most traction in our BGP soccer thread in a long time. Grabbing my popcorn! 😁

What I was told is that the the officials were told that you're not supposed to reuse kickers, in between the 5th and 6th kicks. That the officials said that was not the case. Bowling Green did NOT reuse a kicker on their first shot. Central went ahead and reused players, because they'd been told they could. After that, it's hazier. I've heard some say Bowling Green didn't reuse a kicker until the last round. Some say they did after the first round. I've head Central reused kickers every single time. I've heard they didn't reuse one in the final round.

Honestly, even as a Dragon.... I don't really like this. If Central had not reused any kickers, then I could grant them a case (assuming of course, that Bowling Green had).

The statement said they didn't protest officially until Saturday.

Central equalizes again, with perfect placement into the right side, as keeper dives left. 6 all.

Keeper guesses right, but ball is powered through for Bowling Green. They lead 7-6 (the original score).

Central once again ties it, with a left foot placing it middle-right as keeper dives left.

Bowling Green with a perfect shot again, into the right corner, as keeper goes left. Bowling Green leads 8-7.

Bowling Green gets the save, and they win! Bowling Green wins 8-7.
