6:01 remains in the first quarter as Du Bois starts their drive on their own 20.

On first down, Du Bois has a run for six yards by its quarterback Dickerson.

Dickerson throws a deep pass and it is completed for a gain to the Ads 29. Catch was by the speedy Rashad High. First down.

Their next play is another run that goes all the way to the house for a 23-yard touchdown.

Jutayvion Beasley gets some blocks on the kickoff and the Ads immediately tie the game. There are no flags.

Danville quickly ties the game at 7-7 with about 4:00 to go in the first quarter

Ford (KHSAA website down tonight so I can't access rosters) from Du Bois takes the kickoff to their own 35.

Du Bois tries a run on first down but it goes for no gain.

I-Formation is used by the Lions and they try another run up the middle that goes for five yards.

(2:42 to go in the quarter) On third down the Ads blitz but Du Bois running back Perry break a big run to the Ads 31.

Du Bois regains the lead, 14-7 with not much time left in the first quarter

Beasley is able to retun the ball to the Ads 35 after catching the ball on the Ads 10.

Meaux cuts to the right on first down and rushes to the 50 yard line.

Meaux is wrapped up in the backfield and is tackled for a four yard loss when a linebacker shoots the gap.

Before second down the Ads compound a bad situation by getting a false start, creating a 2nd and 19.

End of the First Quarter: W.E.B. Du Bois 14, Danville 7

The second quarter begins with a Cruver pass attempt deep down the field but Rashad High almost picks it off.

Cruver takes the ball and runs with it on 3rd down and, according to the Ads radio team, he was hit out of bounds. However, no flag is thrown.

On 4th and 11 the Ads are forced to punt. Eli Dilbeck punts and Du Bois fair catches it at their own 25.

Du Bois goes for a screen pass on first down and Braiden Ford blows it up right after the catch so only two yards are gained.

2nd and 8 sees Dickerson throw a pass down field to attempt to hook up with Rashad High but Brady Edwards, a new addition from Boyle for the Ads, helps turn that into an incomplete attempt.

(10:33 to play in the first half) Dickerson is pressured on 3rd down and he is brought down after scrambling for four yards.

Du Bois punts on 4th and 4, Gavin Baker receives for the Ads and he takes it to the Ads 47.

(9:37 to go in the first half) Ads go into the I and hand to Meaux, who rushes for 5 yards, moving the ball into Du Bois territory.

Cruver floats a pass to Gavin Baker and Du Bois is flagged for defensive holding. That creates an automatic first down and moves the ball to the Du Bois 38.

Meaux runs the ball on first down, gaining 5 yards.

In a singleback formation, Meaux rushes to the outside and moves the chains again. Then Du Bois is flagged for a late hit. Ball is moved inside the Du Bois 20.

Meaux takes the handoff on first down and Du Bois is flagged for a facemask. Ball moved to the 6 and the Ads are given a 1st and goal.

Du Bois still leads 14-7 but the Ads are threatening inside of the 10 with 6:12 to play in the first half

Meaux rushes up the middle on 1st and goal and comes up just short of the goalline.

Cruver does a QB sneak on the next play and on the second effort he gets into the end zone.

Du Bois gets flagged for offsides on the extra point kick so the Ads decide to go for the 2-point conversion instead. Meaux takes a pitch but Du Bois prevents him from getting into the end zone.

Du Bois maintains the lead 14-13 with 6:00ish left in the first half

Ads are flagged for a horse collar tackle when Du Bois is close to breaking the kickoff into the end zone. The ball is at the Ads 39.

Du Bois hands off on first down but the Lions are dealt a one yard loss.

Dickerson has a lot of time to throw but Chandon Carter intercepts it and is brought down at the Ads 23.
