This is going to get ugly fast.

This "game" will benefit neither team. The Rocks would have a more productive evening by just scrimmaging themselves.

Ballard will basically be fielding JV team. Trinity probably gets big lead after 1Q then can put reserves in.

A lot of young guys will get on the field for the 'ROCKS. And a lot of guys will get much deserved and needed rest.

Coach Cobb and his staff have a balancing act the next 5 weeks. After showing very impressive performances against top flight competition, Trinity now faces 3 relatively weak District opponents, an open/bye week and then a #4 seed from another District (PRP?). And that relatively weak District was just rendered much weaker with the suspensions to 13 Ballard starters.

So, how do the coaches keep the Rock starters as sharp over those 5 weeks as they have been over the first 7 weeks, while also getting plenty of playing time for the rest of the guys on the roster.

A good problem to have for sure.

Probably just have to do some conditioning in practice since won't be playing full games. Don't want them to get out of shape over next few weeks.

10:46 1st 7-0 Rocks.

Ballard with 3 straight runs for loss - punting on 4th and 14.

and... punt retruned for the TD - game going about as expected.
14-0 Rocks, 8:32: left in first Qtr.

Pass complete for 3, followed by a sack and run for no gain, 4th and 14- Bruins punting.
after a Ballard false start and a short punt - T 1st and 10 from the Ballard 27

Zane is 0 for 3 on passing so far, every pass has been for all the marbles.

OMG - snap goes thru Zanes hands. he picks the ball up surrounded by Ballard defenders, shakes them all off and runs to the endzone. Play is brought back by a personal foul on a blindside block

on 4th and a mile, Trinity kicks a 51 yard FG - 5:51 17-0, left 1st Q, Trinity

Ballard with some postive yards this series - but still punting on 4th and 5.

...and Ashton Taylor runs the punt in again for the Rocks TD - this time from 60 yards out.

24-0 Rocks - 4:45 left in the first.

Ballard goes 3 and out and wisely punts out of bounds.

T with the screen pass for 57 yards down to the 2.

JB with the 2 yard TD on the next play

31-0 , 2:45 left in the first.
