Not making an excuse here as Trinity clearly won by a comfortable score. However whatever genius scheduled X's JV to play Elder 2 days ago and Trinity today needs to seriously examine their cognitive abilities. Have a little respect for the kids health and well being.

I agree - that's alittle strong. Know they are tuff kids, etc - but still need some recovery.

I felt bad for the X QB. The poor kid took a beating.

He must have been hit 6-7 times by free guys running off the edge.

Freshman running back Keilen Warner scored at least one TD for the Shamrocks. He's going to be a good one.

Could have been worse.

Oh wow. Wasn't aware of that. How dumb.

X beat Elder JV in much the same manner Trinity won tonight. It was not hot tonight at Marshall Stadium. No mandatory water breaks tonight. It was 7 all at the half. Trinity won third quarter 13-0 and scored again 12 seconds into fourth quarter for the final 28-7 margin. I do not recall many injury timeouts. There were few if any personal fouls. It was a very clean game. (10 minute quarters)

JV games are tough to schedule. Sometimes you have to take them when you can. I don't really have a problem with it.

JV football is valuable for player development, but it is not always a good predictor of future program success. Many factors go into which players play JV for which teams. It is up to the teams to decide what is best for them. To me, JV football is about getting game reps. I think Freshman football is a better predictor for future program success.

Tuff kid. I agree on the "beating." But appeared to 'bounce up" every time.

His name and has he seen any V action ?

Excellent start to "Beat St X week' The X QB chose to be a Tiger late in the process. He played the second half vs Elder in vsrsity contest. Odds are he will be sitting behind Shoptaw next year. So, Jacobson played 2 1/2 games in 4 days (2 were ten minute quarters). Burmester is the Senior benched when Shoptaw arrived. His grandfather snd father were both excellent players for St. Xavier. It is a shame he is not getting a shot to start at QB.
