Raceland LB Forrest to Kentucky Christian

I think those three are just trying to get used to the fact their new colors are going to be red and black hahaha.

Hopefully that will be the least of their concerns. They need to concentrate on getting physically and mentally ready to play college ball. Not worrying about having to wear the colors of their high school rival in college. In a year from now, h.s. football will be the last thing on their minds as they're going through a college off-season program.

It was a joke. They are not worried about that . Coach Vanderhoof was talking to the paper about the colors and laughing just added that for amuzement. Fairview coach has supported all three of these boys. I think he probably voted for these boys when it came down for all area or all district.

I am trying to lighten these posts. Again we dont want negativity. I was reading some other posts and it had turned sour. These boys are extremely focused. First on their mind is their education and their lifting to stay strong coming in. This comment on colors was something fun. There were boys coming in with different colors laughing saying that will take something to get used to after playing in these colors so long.

I venture to say that JT, with his work ethic, will be as ready as he can be when he begins his college football career. I also think he will be ready to begin his college academic career. I look forward to watching KCU, and becoming a fan of the Knights.

  That may seem weird at first but I really don't think that will be a problem. Somehow I believe that red and black won't look so disgusting to them as it has in the past. :D :thumb:

It will be a short drive to Grayson in a couple of years to watch these three from Raceland and others play the game that they love on the next level. Hopefully these guys will not be the last from Raceland to go to KCU (or anyplace,) to get a college education and further their football years as well. Congrats again to Scott, J.T. , Clint and all the others from all schools that have this chance. Your hard work has earned it.

Great Post!! We are so excited for these boys. Now we have football Friday night and football Saturday. Nothing could be better. I think this will bring the community closer together having a team close. The line-up has boys from all the surrounding schools. It's an exciting time.
