The Steelers open the season at home against an NFC South team in the Atlanta Falcons. This is a game the Steelers should win especially at home as the Falcons are still up in the air about a starting quarterback. If the can contain the Falcons star running back Robinson the should start the season 1-0.

  • That play by TJ Watt was incredible. I'm for the Bengals all the way but that play was fire.

From a Steelers page I read the signings are good for the Steelee and works in their favor. I guess we will see.

Not good for the Steelers and Joey Porter Jr. with this happening today.

Christian Gonzalez signed a four-year, $135 million extension with the New England Patriots, including $102 million guaranteed and a $33 million signing bonus - the largest in NFL history for a cornerback.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have the NFL's most expensive defense in 2026, committing approximately $195.4 million in salary cap space to defensive players which is just under 65% of their 2026 salary cap. I don't see a DB getting $195 million with a $101 guaranteed works in the Steelers favor. Keep telling yourself that I guess.

Steelers get a huge break possibly as it was announced today that Tua strained an oblique muscle and may be out Sunday. Cooper Rush took snaps in practice today with the 1st string. Steelers should win by double digits.

It would be bad if played any ways. They are already out their 2 best pass rushers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are elevating a defensive back for their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Per an executive from the Steelers, cornerback Doneiko Slaughter is coming up from the practice squad for the season opener at Acrisure Stadium.

Slaughter's elevation doesn't guarantee that he'll be active, though it does provide Pittsburgh with some insurance in case Joey Porter Jr. doesn't suit up for the contest.

It is now being reported this morning on multiple news outlets that it is unlikely that Joey Porter Jr. will suit up at all today. It is also being reported that no teams have been interested in what the Steelers were seeking (1st round pick). The good news is that the Steelers should definitely not need him today since the Falcons can't seem to find anyone to play quarterback. Cooper Rush had back spasms yesterday and now their backup to Rush for the game is some undrafted free agent from Minnesota State @ Moorehead.

Steelers second drive here. They need to score.
