Bowling Green hosted a good Logan County team and came away with a 38-28 win.

Logan County had some good-looking Freshmen at the Greenwood Jamboree last weekend.

Good luck to them! Go Purples!

Purples Frosh go on the road to Owensboro and face the Apollo Eagles Frosh on a busy night on the Apollo campus with soccer, softball and football games going on at the same time.

The game was pretty even through 3 quarters with both teams making mistakes (turnovers, penalties etc.). The game was tied at 6 till towards the end of the 3rd when BG collected another INT and set themselves up in good field position and punched it in on the ground, went for 2 and got it going up 14-6. Apollo would be bottled up again and chose to go for it in their own territory on 4th down in the 4th quarter and did not get it. Then BG FR QB Trace Wilkens made some nice throws and BG got on the board again with a final 2-point conversion (BG would typically kick but the FR kicker kicks for the Varsity team so likely not fair to play him at this level). So, the ballgame ended BG 22 Apollo 6.

But I thought Apollo had a nice team with some speedy skill guys, a nice QB and a decent line. Future looks good off Tamarack Road!

BG takes down a good Barren County squad 31-18 at home to move to 6-1 on the Frosh year. They still play at South Warren and a final home game vs Christian County to close out their year. Go Purples!

Any freshman or Froshmore team that wants/needs a game next week, we Dixie Heights are looking for a game as Conner bailed on us in the playoff game here in NKY. Our field is available Wednesday or Thursday Oct 28 or 29 but we will travel if needed! Message me on here or call me 859-465-0952, email [email protected]
