Betsy Layne's head coach Mike Howard has resigned as the boys basketball coach per the Floyd County Chronicle newspaper.

Mike Howard issued a statement, which follows.

To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter to inform you of my resignation as the head coach of the Betsy Layne Boys' Basketball Team.
My leadership expectations differ from those of the administration; therefore, I am stepping down from this role effective immediately.
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to coach at my alma mater. Thank you for the memories.
God is Good!

My guess is parents complaining 3 games into the season and the Administration siding with said parents.
