Final!

Walton-Verona travels to Morgan County and gets the win. They will face Beechwood in the 2nd round. This was all Bearcats from the get go had a running clock in the 2nd quarter.

Walton played its most complete game of the year tonight. Walton should have a much better record than they do this year. As Walton has had the lead at halftime in 8 of their 11 games. Yet due to turnovers, and mistakes in second half’s, they lost 3 of those 8 games they had the lead at halftime in. 

Tonight they left no doubt though and finished and got the running clock in the second quarter. Obviously a huge task now waits in front of them in Beechwood. However, Walton-Verona at least now goes into it after playing its best game of the year and should have some confidence going into it.

For sure!  Those are some of my best memories of high school football, the bus rides home.

Great times. Can't replicate the bonding experience. Especially after a big playoff win.
