Reported suicide.

Second round pick in 2024. Scored a defensive touchdown just a few days ago.

If you remember that draft, his mother had passed away not long before draft night. He carried her ashes in a small urn at the draft. 

I'm sure we will find out eventually. It's no disrespect to Kneeland or his family but my first take after something like this, is that this was likely related to drug use, CTE or both.

 

Also, initial reports are that Kneeland was involved in a police pursuit,  wrecker his vehicle, fled on foot and was ultimately found deceased while they were searching for him. 

You have to wonder what was so bad that he felt there was no way out.

Exactly.  It would seem that the world was for the taking.

As someone who spent his career in the mental health field, I will say this.  EVERYONE struggles with something.  Usually not to the point of this kind of response, and usually unseen.  But everyone does.
