The Juggs are heading south this Friday to see if they can continue the undefeated season. Lloyd is coming off a bye week and healthy. Not sure if Carroll has enough in the stables for what’s coming. Running clock in my opinion.

How can Lloyd get something productive out of this one?

In Lloyd's last game against Henry County I said their defense should hold Henry to under 125 rushing yards and 0 TD's for it to be a productive night. They were very close to accomplishing that. I think it was 104 rushing yards and 1 TD. I put that 1 TD on Lloyds offense due to a bad turnover by the offense. If Lloyd scores or even punts on that drive I don't think Lloyd gives up any points and most likely under 100 rushing yards. I will say though that Lloyd did get something productive out of that game by not letting Henry run the ball down their throat with the run game Henry has.

Lloyd needs to clean up the fumbles and interceptions they have had over the last few weeks. Can't win big playoff games turning the ball over and they did a fantastic job the first half of the season not turning it over. They have a great offense, defense and special teams but the turn over margin will be the difference in big games.

This week if Lloyd plays like they have all year in the box and the trenches Carroll may not eclipse 60 rushing yards and I don't see them scoring on the ground if Lloyd really locks in. That should be a goal for Lloyd to hold them under those numbers on the ground.

Carroll is going to try throw the ball all around. They are going to take many shots down the field. That's not going to win them this game but it is their best shot at trying to keep this game competitive. 

Lloyd's goal in the secondary should be to not give up any TD's through the air, obviously. Lloyd's DB's are going to have many chances at making plays on the ball. I see Lloyd coming up with atleast 2 interceptions probably by #14 Herron and #10 Barger but it should probably be more like 4. If Lloyd plays like they are capable of in the secondary then they should not give up any passing TD's. By all that being said, that's a slap in the face to Carroll County who through their first 7 games averaged over 2 passing TD's a game and Lloyd has had their issues in the secondary.

I do in fact think Carroll comes up with 2 passing TD's in this one and probably goes for around 150 passing yards. They averaged close to 200 passing yards a game through the first 7 games.

Lloyd seems to give up some big plays through the air and then adjusts personnel. Once they adjust they seem to be fine. Why does it take them getting cooked through the air for them to adjust? If that's Lloyd's plan for the playoffs then it will handicap how far they can really go. I have been saying majority of the season Lloyd needs to prevent the preventable and for this to be a productive game for them that's exactly what they should do. 

Lloyd does what they want on offense in this one. Another slap in the face to Carroll. Through 7 games Carroll had only given up a little over 200 yards passing, on the year. That is unreal. But I think depending on how Lloyd plays it Evans could go for close to 300 yards again. If Lloyd wants to run the ball down Carroll's throat all night I think they are capable of that also. Regardless I think their offensive numbers will be balanced. Lloyd has legit speed on the roster but the only person who has really displayed it much this season is Barger. Who else is capable of giving them a spark that they may need down the road?

@DRKARKI am hoping to see your Juggs get back to kicking the ball off deep. The last time I saw them kick the ball off deep was against Campbell County where they pinned them inside the 20 multiple times and atleast once inside the 10. They did a fantastic job covering kicks the first 5-6 games of the year but after Campbell I haven't seen them kick it deep again. 

I think they have been costing themselves atleast 20 yards a kick in field position by squibing it. Against Bourbon it cost them 70 yards and almost a TD return just because the way they are squibing it is making it almost a bang bang play.

They got athletes that can run down the ball. Squibing it hard to the middle of the return team isn't doing their kick off team any justice by not letting their athletes run it down. I was shocked that they did this against Henry. If they kicked it deep to Henry they may not have got the ball across the 50. To be honest, to me..it looks like they are scared to kick it deep. Why? I don't know. Are they scared the return team has better athletes and don't have faith in their kickoff team? Curious if that will be the case against Carroll County. I am sure Carroll will love to start their possessions at their own 40 rather than the 25 or deeper in. That almost turns it into 7v7 the way Carroll likes to throw the ball and Carroll will only be a few pass plays away from the redzone.

I could not agree more. I think they should be practicing kicking it deep every week. This will be huge in the later rounds of the playoffs. The teams are much better and stronger than most of the teams that we have played. So the less field you give them the better chance they have. We have a really good chance of going deep in the playoffs I believe. But we need a few things to come together on special teams and defense.

Their kicker from from I saw at the beginning of the season seemed to get better each week. He has a nice leg on him and looked like he was able to put the ball where he wanted. After the NCC game I said Lloyd had some head hunters on their kickoff team, they were very entertaining to watch there for a while.
