This week the Cardinals will visit a former district rival that has now been renewed. Mayfield and Trigg County had some epic battles in the 70s with Mayfield winning all but one (as best I can remember). 

The Wildcats defeated Mayfield in 2004, and they may have played one time since. But it does not look to be the year for Trigg to beat the Cardinals again. After starting the season with a lopsided victory over Ohio County, they have lost every game since. 

Meanwhile, Mayfield sits atop the district and has “running-clocked” every district opponent so far. This one looks to be the same. Tell us what YOU think.
