This is my preliminary weather prediction for the games on Friday. This week, Kentucky will be under a ridge, which will result in consistent, dry weather. Around 5 p.m. EDT, temperatures will range from the high 70s to the low 80s. It is predicted that they will drop from the high 60s to the low 70s. By approximately 11 p.m. EDT, the dew points will have dropped from the upper 50s to the low to mid-50s. It should be another pleasant night for high school football in Kentucky. 

 

Been lucky so far knock on wood. Not been ridiculous hot and only one night with storms. And I think it didn’t mess with a ton of games.

Us here in NKY have been absolutely blessed with the weather this year. Not oppressively hot or humid and zero lightning delays so far. I know my yard is paying the price but as my dad used to say “it’ll grow back”. If my yard needs to be a dirt lot 3 months of the year to ensure the football weather we have had, I’m all for it. Freezing temperatures are not predicted by the Climate Forecast Model until the final week of October. Therefore, we may not experience fall-like temperatures for another two to three weeks. Things will change as we approach this, which is just over three weeks away. There is a possibility of some precipitation for the 10th of October.
