Defensively for sk, it just looks like they don’t really work on their pass converge at all. Same issues all season long. Playing too far back, especially other teams key guys ( scheme isssue ) and then when the ball is in the air they never turn around and look for the ball, they play the receivers hands almost waiting for them to make the first move and are often late or end up hitting them before ball gets there and a flag is thrown. I don’t think I’ve seen them run man all season, everything looks like a zone. They barely blitz if ever, only on goal line defense seems like. Run defense has been solid but have been getting absolutely torched in passing game.

The zone defense is so hard to watch a man always gets wide open. They need to play 4-2-5 and play man to man press the receiver.

Pioneers get a bye week next week. Hopefully get 3 or 4 starters back from injuries. Get ready for district play.

Having 3 or 4 starters out shouldn’t matter.  It’s 6A football.  Next man up, remember? ?

SK's QB throws some nice passes. SK seemed slow getting plays off a lot of times.

Get used to it. Coach will run every second off the play clock. Heard him yell at the QB to slow it down multiple times this year. Takes 3 minutes to come up with the extremely creative play calling like slant or maybe fade if he wants to get really creative.

Called a timeout in final minutes of the game to run a dive on 3rd down inside their 30. Truly don’t understand the play calling. They were having lots of success throwin the ball.

They run a shell defense, basically a man but isn’t, anything underneath is always open because they’re playing too far back to start and then they have trouble breaking up contested balls without causing a flag or allowing the catch on anything deep.
