Europe jumps out to a 3-1 lead after the Friday morning session.  I predicted Europe 16 to 12 once I saw the pairings and I haven’t seen anything to change my mind yet. 

After today’s morning session, Europe is obliterating the homestanding US team 8.5-3.5.  No answer for the likes of  McElroy, Fleetwood’s and Rahm.  

I love the nickname given to the team of McElroy and Fleetwood - “Fleetwood Mac”! ?

That said, the US is getting boatraced on their own soil.

I know the course is set up to the home coaches specs. It seems to be a great disadvantage for the US that there was absolutely zero roll out on drives in the fairway. I think on average the US player are longer hitters and would have benefited from hitting one or two less clubs into the greens. If having the fairways play like lawn darts was the goal they nailed it, but I have to think they would have preferred a little more distance off of the tees.

US made it interesting but just came up a bit short.
