This is the district opener for both teams. Boyd County comes into this game with a 4-1 record while Johnson Central’s record is 5-0. 

Johnson Central is 83-3 against district competition since 2007. All three losses are to Ashland. Doesn't bode well for Boyd's chances this week. The Golden Eagles should remain head and shoulders above the Boyds, Greenups, and Rowans of the world for the foreseeable future.
