The story of the First Half has been miscues and Belfry's playmakers making explosive plays.

The punt failure on Pikeville's first punt gifted Belfry a score. Belfry's defense has done a very good job limiting Pikeville's offense. The Panthers are not a strong running team but Belfry has basically forced Pikeville to settle for short passes and has made good tackles in space. The Pirates have had some good late pressure as well forcing Reynolds to took and scramble.

A pair of Pirate interceptions have came when Pikeville has kind of forced it down field. One they had a mis-communication on a route and Belfry collected it, the other a good play by JB Woolum. Belfry hit back to back explosive plays and that's essentially how we got here. Belfry gets the ball coming out of the Half.
