Somerset 35 Southwestern 7

SW drove down the field on their opening drive to go up 7-0. Somerset replied with a 5 play touchdown drive of their own to tie it up at 7 all.

Somerset tacked on another 4 touchdowns to set the final total. This game had three half-hour lightning delays. Luckily the game started an hour early and was able to wrap up before it got too late.

Somerset just pushed Southwestern around at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. The Briar Jumpers are coming along nicely, and Hughes seems settled in at quarterback.  The Warriors are in for a long season. I don't see more than 2 wins on their schedule, if that.

What has happened? They’ve always been good but it seems like they’ve been spiraling the last couple of years.

They had 2-3 really weak middle school teams in a row. They didn't seemed to have developed as they've moved to high school.  A lot of the middle school results don't foretell high school results, but they might have in this case.
