Danville gets down to the Fairdale 29 after a great catch from Sellers but once again, they can't go any further on 4 straight downs and Fairdale gets it back.  Yet another scoring chance wasted.

Fairdale gets into Admirals territory but an Admirals sack and series of throws don't get a score when time expires in the first half.

Both teams can get into their opponents territory but then they hit a wall.

Ha, Danville gives Fairdale a taste of their own medicine by doing an onside kick to start and recovers to start the third quarter.  Never seen two teams do that to start separate halves before and recover in my 30+ years of following football.

After some short passes and runs, Jayvean Meaux runs it 10 yards into the end zone for the first TOUCHDOWN of the game.

Fairdale jumps offsides on the extra point so the Ads go for two.  However, Meaux cannot get into the end zone.

Danville leads 6-0 with 10:10 left in the third quarter.

Admirals pile up some sacks at the hands of David Shelton, forcing a punt by Fairdale, who is also hindered by a false start and holding penalty before that.

The punt rolls to the Admirals 40, where Danville starts another drive with 7:01 to go in the 3rd.

Ads drive goes awry when the ball is snapped over the QB's head.  The Ads don't move it much after that, causing them to punt from poor field position.

Fairdale has the ball at the Danville 42 with 4:41 to play in the third.

Fairdale goes for it on 4th & 10 and converts, getting a long gain to the Danville 23.

Fairdale breaks a run for a first down on 3rd & 5, getting through some attempted Danville tackles.  They are now at the Admirals 1 yard line at the end of the third quarter.

Danville leads 6-0.

QB sneak doesn't work for Fairdale and then before their second snap they have a false start.

Admirals catch a break when an open Fairdale receiver drops it on a second down throw.

Fairdale's QB (Butler) scrambles back to the one but is knocked hard out of bounds.  Now it's 4th & 1 at the goalline.

Fairdale aims to throw and then run but Butler is STOPPED just shy of the goalline.  Turnover on downs back to the Admirals with 9:15 left in the game.

Danville can't advance the ball much on a QB sneak, a standard run, and then a surprise throw to break something.  According to the commentators, the Ads defense looks gassed and it is going to have to come up big.

Even moreso when the punt snap is low and the Ads have to fall on it, so that results in a SAFETY.

That leaves a baseball score right now as Danville leads 6-2 with 7:51 to go.

Fairdale starts their drive on the Admirals 42.

Sasha Wade makes a nice tackle on 2nd down for a big loss to Fairdale to get to 3rd & 14 but then the Ads are unable to wrap up the Fairdale running back to make it 4th & 5.  Fairdale's throw on 4th down is incomplete BUT the Ads are flagged for pass interference.

The ball is now placed at the Admirals 21.
