? | The Braves are out to prove they're more than a one man show in 2025 after Jarren Johnson wrote the headlines for 2024. Union County returns a strong nucleus of talent from last year's 3A runner-up, including Abreyan Fletcher, Willem McPeake, Luke Thomas and Cortayvion Rapier, all vital members of last season's supporting cast ready to step into the spotlight. This squad may not fall off as much as losing Johnson would suggest.

M-NH’s spotlight will shine directly on Markezz Hightower, one of the state's premier ball carriers and a possible Mr. Football darkhorse. He was instrumental in last year's four score win by the Maroons, rushing for 176 yards. The Maroons ran over Union that night behind the legs of Hightower and the dual threat of Kanyon Johnson, who the Braves will be happy to hear has moved on to the collegiate ranks. Kirk LaGrange is one to watch on the other side of the ball after posting 64 tackles and a team high 4 interceptions last year.

Union recovered from last year's defeat in Madisonville to reach the state finals. They'd prefer getting this season off on a better foot before making another run.

This game is at Union County which I feel is an advantage for the Braves.  But the Maroons have the best player, so I lean Maroons.  You know I'm partial to the color teams!!!!

I’m going with MNH I think their running game will again be very successful against Union however I do think it will be closer something like 28-21.
