The SEC leads all Power Four conferences with 9 teams (4 in top 10) in the preseason Coaches Poll, followed by the Big Ten with 6 (3 in top 10). The Big 12 places 5 teams in the rankings (0 in top 10), while the ACC rounds it out with 3 (2 in the top 10). The other two team are Notre Dame as an Independent and Boise State which is from the Mountain West Conference.

Some issues I have with this:

1) I think Georgia is a bit high

2) I think Alabama is a bit high.

3) I don't believe that Indiana should be in the top 25.

4) I think South Carolina is bit high.

5) I think Louisville should be ranked in the top 25.

6) I think Notre Dame is a bit high.

7) Not sure about Illinois being the #12 ranked team.

8) I think Texas Tech is ranked a bit low.

What does every one of the BGP college football guys think about this poll?

South Carolina is where South Carolina is because of one guy, LaNorris Sellers.  If he gets any kind of help on offense, sky is the limit for the Gamecocks.  If he doesn't, or he misses time with injury, they are in BIG trouble.

I always question do those voting on these pre-season polls based on who they think has the best returning team, best based on how they finished last year or vote based on how they think it will look after 12 game season plays out?
