Featured Replies

Newport Central Catholic High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Nick Enginger as the new Head Coach of its Baseball Program.

Coach Enginger has been teaching Social Studies at Newport Central Catholic since 1997. He played baseball at Elder High School and went on to play at Northern Kentucky University. After graduating, he stayed on at NKU as an assistant coach for the late Coach Bill Aker and Coach Todd Asalon. He previously held assistant coaching roles in both the NewCath football and baseball programs.

Athletic Director Jeff Schulkens said, "I am excited for Coach Enginger to take over the baseball program. He was an assistant coach for me here at NewCath and has a vast knowledge of the game.”

Coach Enginger said, “I am excited to teach these young men baseball and life lessons along the way." He and his wife, Marianne and daughters Madeline, Karly and Ashton reside in Cold Spring, KY.

Very happy for coach.  He also has been an assistant coach in the softball program the last few years.  Should have gotten the job the last time, but his patience has been rewarded.  He will do well!

I really like this hire.
