A rivalry renewed! Highlands and Cov Cath will meet once again the first round of the 9th Region Finals. The Birds have beaten the Colonels twice this year. Both times Highlands had great offensive ability, backed with a solid outing from Adam Forton - the starter for both games. They were both big wins, 11-4 and 11-1. But, as they say, it's difficult to beat a team three times in a row. The first round of last years tournament is certainly in the minds of both teams...where Covington Catholic edged out the Birds 12-9. 

 

The 9th region tournament starts tomorrow! Highlands and Covington Catholic will start at 10am, and if you cannot make it - tune into bluebirdsradio.com !

    True. Last time CCH won the 9th Region was 2005.
