How long is the 2025 WNBA season?

The 2025 WNBA regular season is scheduled to start on Friday, May 16, though the preseason will feature 15 contests from Friday, May 2 through Monday, May 12. The 29th season for the league will feature a 44-game schedule for the first time in league history.

Just bought tickets to take my daughters up to Indiana's July 13th matchup against the Dallas Wings.  If Dallas doesn't draft Paige Bueckers on Monday night, my one daughter may riot.   LOL

Bueckers #1 over all.

Georgia Amoore went #6 over all to a rebuilding Washington Mystics team.

Former Cardinal/Tiger/Horned Frog Hailey Van Lith went #11 to Chicago.

WNBA draft is tough to grade because with such a limited number of spots available (only 13 teams right now) some of these drafted players won't even have a legit shot at making their teams.  

Former Princeton and UConn guard Kaitlyn Chen was drafted in the third round by Golden State and I'd guess she has, at best, a slim chance to make the regular season roster.

Slightly less buzz this year compared to 2024.
