Wahington Capitals Alex Ovechkin past the "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky as the all-time goal leading in NHL history. The ironic thing is he done in exactly the same number of games as Gretzky played. The # was 1,478 games. The big difference is besides the goals in the number of assists. imo

The actual number for assist is 1963 for Gretzky to only 724 for Ovechkin. Gretzky is still over 900 total points over the next closest player who is Jaromir Jagr and the actual number is 2857 to 1921 a difference of 936 points. To me mic drop enough said.
