The Columbus High School Explorers won the Chipotle National Championship in Fishers, IN defeating Dynamic Prep from Texas 65-49. They are a private high school in Florida that actually plays high school basketball in Florida and are a member of the high school association and have won 4 straight 7A high school titles and 3 straight Peach Tree titles as well. They were led by the Boozer twins (Duke Signees) Cameron and Cayden Boozer. Dynamic Prep is a new prep school in Texas coached by Jermaine O'Neal and their top players are his son Jermaine O'Neal Jr and Marcus Spears Jr. son of NFL and ESPN's Marcus Spears.

Explain to me how a HS National Championship is conducted with validity. Sounds like a "made up" event to me.

From what I could find it is invitation but it is usually the top 10 ranked teams in the USA Today top 25. They must accept and, in some cases, have to be approved by their state's athletic association if they are a member.

Not surprising since they are loaded with talent.
