South Oldham 69 Spencer County 61 (8th Region Semifinal)

Featured Replies

Final from Henry Co. The 8th region will have a new champion as South will take on North Oldham tomorrow night at 7:00 for the 8th region title. Spencer started the game leading 9-0 and had a dry spell and South Oldham came back and took the lead and kept it most of the game both teams had several runs and South had the last run and got the win.

I watched this one online and South Oldham caught fire from 3-point range in the second quarter. Spencer County did a nice job of hanging around (might have even tied it once in the fourth quarter), but the Bears could never get enough stops. I really like this South Oldham team.

Go South!  I'm pulling for them, and I think their style could give DCA fits in the state tournament!  They fire the 3 ball.

Was looking at the stats last night. The Dragons have shot 1,028 threes, about 50 more than the next highest team. Most everyone else is in the 500-750 range. But they shoot it 38.9% as a team, good for 15th in the state. The best team, by percentage, is Bowling Green at 46.7%. However, South Oldham has made almost as many as the Purples have taken. Bottom line, you said it best: "they first the 3 ball!"
