Final from Owensboro. Owensboro Catholic the region favorite could not defeat Daviess for a 3rd straight time this season. Congrats to the Lady Panthers as they will take on Danville Christian in the last game of the opening round of the Sweet 16 on Thursday night at 8:30pm.

Per Mark Mathis of the Messenger Inquirer, this is Daviess County's first trip to the Sweet 16.

The Lady Panthers also snapped a 33 game losing streak today against the Lady Aces.

Amazing how a school with success in other sports, like the fact their soccer team is terrific, would be making their first Girls' Sweet 16.
