Raceland Rams ? (22-8)
vs.
Rowan County Vikings ?? (15-14)

?Ellis T. Johnson Arena in Morehead

⏰️ 8:00pm, Thursday (3/6)

? | The third and final contender for best game of the first round. The Rams will hit Morehead with a full head of steam, fresh off their first district title in seven years. Only Ashland is hotter at the moment. Rowan might be just the team to put out that fire, featuring a coach with 18 region tournament wins leading a team that should be motivated to atone for the blowout loss in the 61st District final. These two don't meet often, this being just the fifth encounter in the last ten years. Raceland hasn't beaten Rowan County since 2009.

Connor Thacker and Jonah Arnett account for half of Raceland's scoring, while Rowan County doesn't have anyone averaging in double figures. We know who the Rams look to in close games. The Vikings have players, but where do they go when the game is on the line in crunch time?

Players to watch
? | Connor Thacker (15 ppg/8.4 rpg) | Jonah Arnett (15 ppg/43% on 3s))

?? | Jayson Ingles (9.8 ppg/69 3s) | Jace Coats (9.3 ppg/50% FGs)

This will be the game of the first round. I see a low scoring rock fight with Rowan winning 50-45.

Don’t tell those folks over in the 12th.  They’re not entertained by these games.
