Anybody who has ever done a mock bracket by the rules knows they don't take those things into consideration; they can't. What makes me laugh about comments like the one above is that everything is relative. There are 32 first round games and you only care about one. When a coincidental pairing occurs, everyone says the pairing was rigged, conveniently forgetting the only reason you noticed it was because it was your team while also forgetting that the other 31 games have no connection at all.
