Big time players step up in big games and she didnt. Nothing more nothing less.:thumb:

As stated several times in this thread she had an off night scoring but contributed in other areas of her game. As for being a big time player, the head coach at Belmont University certainly thinks she is;) .

Also, instead of being critical about a high school players performance you should give some credit to the Somerset defense, they did an outstanding job.

Do they have any D 1 Players? If so I will give them some credit. She should have been the best player on the Floor and she wasnt.

Last night, in the NBA, Stephon Marbury played 35 minutes and only scored 7 points, as the New York Knicks got beat by the Charlotte Hornets.

I wonder how many people feel as though he isn't a "big time player"?

Everyone at that game, and everyone that is reading this thread realizes that Seals didn't hang 30 points on Somerset, while leading Raceland to a win. Bottom line is that she still played hard, and as long as she gave her best effort, her coach and her teammates will be more than happy with that on any given night.

One bad line score does not invalidate her worth to a basketball team - just like one off night doesn't make Stephon Marbury a "has been" in the NBA.

Great post. Seals is a good team player and plays with alot of class. I think that without her this year Raceland would not have made it to Richmond.

And fans with class do not talk negative about h.s. kids, nothing more nothing less.:thumb:  You post and commentes are unbelievable! Why do you seem bent on slammijng a h.s. athlete is beyond me. As I stated earlier I belive that at least one D1 coach (along with others that recruited her) thinks otherwise. I am not just defending her bc she is a Raceland player. I have defended othet h.s. kids/athletes on here from other schools as well. I just can't understand:confused: why anyone would want to put down a h.s. kid in that way but to each his own.Imo that shows more abou tthe poster than the kid ;) . Congrats to Whitney on signing a D1 scholarship and getting a chance to play at the next level along with the most important thing - a college education. I also wish any other athlete, girls or boys at ANY school the best in their pursuit of this achievement. :thumb: . If you have an ax to grind with Raceland or any other school then please don't take your frustrations out on a kid. If you complaint is with the kid themselves then I would hope that you would refrain from posting on a public forum in cutting them down. Remember, this is high school and it is supposed to be about the kids.:thumb:

She did have an off game, but you could definitelly see that she is a big time player. She is the first girl I have seen that could go stride for stride with Caiti Cowan. Vanderhoof is also a very good player. It was easy to see that Raceland is very well coached. Fundamentally sound.

Somersets SR's showed some tremendous leadership in the fourth quarter. I was not sure that the Jumpers could bounce back, but they did. Congrats to the Jumpers and good luck against Paris.

:ylsuper: Great post and thanks again bucknut. Sommerset is also a well coached team and loaded with talent. Congrats to the jumpers on the win and good luck the rest of the way in the all A classic.:thumb:

The Lady Rams made a great showing in Richmond, considering it was their first time there. I felt they could/should have won that game, but they play as a team and lose as a team. That is what makes them the classy team they are. Their defensive effort was incredible. Katelynd Porter played great defense on Cowan all night long. Rachel Vanderhoof was outstanding and Paige Porter had numerous assists. Whit may have not had her best game, but Michael Jordan has off days also. They made their hometown proud. It is always a great day to be a Ram! We "fail forward" and will use this loss as a springboard into the districts and regionals!
