? Two of Louisville's finest institutions are off to strong starts.

So far, Male is who we thought they were. An eighteen point win over Top 5 Trinity highlights their early season results. Cole Edelen averages 25 points a night to pace the R7 and state contending Bulldogs.

Butler has clobbered the opposition by 28 ppg early on. St. X transfer Adrian Wilder has come into his own as a Bear, scoring 15 per game and nearly matching Edelen's perimeter shooting prowess. 

The Bears have had success against the Dawgs in recent years, including last season's three point win in an OT thriller.

Forgot to mention... this one tips off at 7:30pm local time in Louisville on Friday night (12/13).

A trend that probably has no bearing on tomorrow's outcome, but I think is worth throwing out there:

Butler has won the last three December games in the series ('21, '22, '23). The Bears have staggered Male early. There was no second game last season ('24), but the Dawgs won the January rematches in '22 & '23.

Great stuff here! This is a great game and I'll take Male in a close one.
