Happy Thanksgiving!

Should a school give a coach a heads up that he’s going to be fired? Do they normally?

Coaches aren’t obligated to tell their employers.

That's a tough one. Usually someone knows somebody who knows something and the AD, principal, superintendent, or board member hears it. Might be best to be up front about it. It never hurts to test the waters in my opinion....but as my wife reminded my yesterday I'm a dinosaur lol. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Indirectly, the bosses will send a message that they want the head coach gone when they won't help him anymore in moving the program forward.

If the coach is doing well but they just don't like the coach, they probably won't have the guts to fire him.

If the coach is struggling in regards to wins-losses, if the coach won't resign... then they may fire him.

I had a set of bosses one time, wanted me to leave. But, I didn't think they had the guts to fire me. I was right. ?
