Dayton 78 Ludlow 63

Featured Replies

Superb effort by the Greendevils in one of the best team performances Dayton has seen in years. 5 players reached double digits in point and 2 players posted double doubles. When the starters left the game with 2 minutes and change remaining the score lie at 75-50. And of course, its always good to beat a fellow river city school... Great Job Greendevils!!!:thumb: :dancingpa

impressive. Dayton seems to be comming along. I'm happy for Dilts

Congrats on the win! What is daytons record this year? Ludlow is in a rebuilding year and has had a really tough year, so this outcome really dont surprise me that much. However Coach Highfield will have this Ludlow program back to where everyone is use to seeing it at in a year or so...

Dayton's record is a little disappointing but they are still rebuilding as well. They are working hard down there and Dilts has them on the right track. They just lack numbers like most small schools. As far as Ludlow, I am actually quite surprised they are down this much. They seemed to have decent guards last year but it is looking more like they depended too much on Penick who was outstanding. Is there a kid missing from Ludlow's lineup this year? Maybe Poe? seems I havent seen his name in the boxscores.

Dayton is 5-12 with 3 losses by 2 points or less....

Poe and Rouse played for Ludlow and had 16 and 11 points...

I'm not so sure Ludlow will get back to the stage they were at when they had a 6'9'' guy on their team...

Ludlow had York quit. In addition, Dayton is not rebuilding, they have 8 seniors, and did not lose that much from last year.

^They lost 4 seniors last season... they only have 7 seniors this year...

If i'm not mistaken Ludlow did beat Dayton by 12 pts back in December. Dayton play harder and wanted it more this time.

Actually, hoops.......Dayton really is still rebuilding. Although they have 7 seniors, 2 haven't played since elementary school, and 1 is only in his 2nd year of organized ball. While the other 4 are solid, they still suffer from small school disease, with 6'2 the tallest, and the bench consisting of several Freshman. Good news for Dayton is they have good talent coming up from the Freshman level and a very good middle school team. Hopefully, the 3 or 4 Freshman playing varsity this year will make them grow up fast.
