January 29, 200719 yr I agree that Jasper may be able to give Green some difficulty... Last year, Rondo could not slow him down because he was knocked over on every single pick. Good communication. That might be UK's best matchup, however, Humphrey is a good defender. Maybe so, but Brewer has an advantage at virtually every aspect of his game. He is a matchup nightmare... especially for Crawford. My best advice... pray. He may be better, but Morris does not have a complimentary play as Horford does. The other 4 players around Morris have to move and creat opportunities for Randolph. He cannot beat them alone. Horford and Noah are good because the other one is there (even Richard is a great backup and they do not miss a beat). If UK chooses to play man-to-man defense, I would think their best defensive matchups would shake out like this... Bradley on Green Crawford on Humphrey Jasper on Brewer Perry on Noah Morris on Horford That's just my take. Brewer is a matchup nightmare for sure. I think Jasper's length makes him the most favorable option. Crawford isn't long and he's not quick, so I think Brewer would abuse him. However, he should be able to hang with Humphrey if he puts out the effort. Bradely should be able to matchup with Green as good as anyone else on our roster. Perry against Noah isn't even worth going into. Morris and Horford is pretty close, but personally, I like Horford better. He is a more physical player, a better defender, and usually gives a better and more consistent effort.
January 29, 200719 yr Author My lineup would be like this: Jasper/Meeks Bradley Crawford Stevenson Morris On defense: Bradley > Green -Both able to hit the three, drive, and defend well Crawford > Humphrey -Both capable of hitting the three; Crawford better penetrater. Jasper/Meeks > Brewer -Meeks is quicker, more athletic, can make the 3; Both equal in drive ability. Height for Brewer. Stevenson > Noah -Stevenson gives up a little height, but has the ability to cause problems for Noah with his leaping ability. Morris > Horford -Morris can win this battle if he stays out of foul trouble.
