February 2, 200719 yr I just heard on espn where Bush will not appeal the decision/fine and he also is adding anther $5,000 to a fund with/about L. Smith and T. Dungee about asst. African American coaches becoming head coaches (didn't hear all of it or what it is specifically about). Anyway, with him not appealing and this I hope that he is realizing what crap like that looks like. I still would love to see ALL players cut the dance/pointing/celebration acts and just play football. Imo it is ridiculous. Take the Barry Sanders (and others) approach..................when you score/get into the endzone, etc. - hand the ball to the official, go back to the sidelines. In other words, act like you have done it before and plan on doing it again in the near future. I think the taunt/celebration was in good fun, even though I wouldn't personally do it. But the fine fit the circumstance by NFL standards. BTW...Color should not be the basis of any hiring in any profession.
February 4, 200719 yr With all the silliness that goes on in the NFL how did that justify a fine? They need to be consistent and cut out the foolishness. They need to take a look at what the college game penalizes. 15 yard penalties plus the money. The styling and profiling has got out of control. After every play somebody appears to be mugging for the cameras.
