The big take away from this game is going to be the RPI number and how it moves. Tilghman briefly moved down to third Friday night after beating a winless Calloway County team, but ultimately ended up back in first after the dust settled on all the games. 

Earlier in the season, this game being right after the Calloway game scared a lot of the Tilghman faithful as they knew this game would likely really hurt PT. Russellville had only won 3 games the last 2 seasons combined, 2 in 2023 and 1 in 2022. They started this season off with 3 straight losses but have represented themselves well as of late, winning 5 of their last 6 games. Just playing Tilghman will likely move their RPI number up some, even in a loss. 

It will be fun to watch how it all unfolds as Tilghman currently sits at .75805, followed by Franklin County at .75614 and Boyle County at .75138. Franklin County plays George Rogers Clark at home and Boyle has the huge game at home with Frederick Douglass. Will the late season resurgence by Russellville be the saving grace for PT and be enough for them to stay at the top? We shall see.

Russellville is led by QB Hunter Hallman who throws it for 121.7 ypg and has 12 td's to 5 interceptions. Jamarrion Gardner has over 1,000 yds rushing for them at 111.4 per game and has 9 rushing td's. JaCoveon Temple-Dickerson is the leading receiver at 55.9 ypg and has 7 reception touchdowns. Russellville's defense has 70 tackles for loss, which is really impressive. 

Since WR Avery Thompson went down for PT, they just keep doing what they always do, get the ball to the open man. In the game against Calloway Friday night, PT had at least a dozen players catch a pass. PT has 7 receivers averaging between in the 30's to 80's in terms of yards per game on the season.

    PT with a ? ⏰ early and often…… then they need to pull their starters and start the month long prep for a Franklin County or Boyle playoff game.
